We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world for the better - one step at a time. This site presents Mithra International Foundation's cause.

Mission

MITHRA International Foundation is a non-profit corporation with two principal goals:
        1.     Promoting and popularizing Bulgarian and European cultural traditions within the   local communities.
        2.     Providing underprivileged children with opportunities for quality education.

Vision

Provide better life chances for underprivileged children by empowering them through education, art and culture as well as social integration.

Why MITHRA?

Mithra is an ancient Indo-Iranian god of light, sun and solar fire. We chose the name of Mithra for our foundation for its symbolic meaning. In Zoroastrianism, Mithra is the appointed guardian and supervisor over the prosperity of the mankind. He is also the protector of the sanctity of agreements and contracts by which he is believed to maintain the cosmic order. Finally, Mithra is associated with friendship. We believe that having friends and their support is essential for the success of each and every endeavor. We trust that honoring contracts is the grounds for developing and maintaining long-term relationships.
